That's Elevate; just hrow in live music, games, give aways and a ton of people your own age. Go grab your friends and get out to Elevate this Wednesday night. Or just come on your own and make a bunch of new friends. Elevate is for you. Middle School or High School. Black or white. Male or female. Maybe you're not really into the "church" thing; that's ok, too. Just come and check it out, Elevate is unique. JONATHAN & LESLIE PENA
Pastor Jonathan and Leslie Pena serve as the Student Ministries Pastors of Elevate Youth Ministries. Together they bring a relevant relationship-based approach to youth ministry. Jonathan received his call into ministry as a teenager. After graduating from Sam Houston High School, he entered the Master’s Commission of Houston, accepting a music ministry internship the following year with worship leader/producer David Byerley. In 1997, Jonathan opened a new chapter in his life by enrolling at Southwestern Assemblies of God University. While at SAGU, Jonathan interned at Christ Church in Wedgewood and the Ministry Center in Fort Worth. In addition to internships, mission trips and other ministry opportunities, Jonathan was elected President of Spirit and Truth, a school sponsored music evangelism team. He graduated from SAGU in 2001 with a B.S. Degree in Church Ministries with a Pastoral specialization. Jonathan served as both Praise and Worship Leader and Youth Pastor at Cornerstone Community Church in Winnie, Texas from 2001 to 2003 and Valley Hi Assembly of God Church in San Antonio from 2003 to 2007. Here at Lindale, Pastor Jonathan leads the weekly Elevate Youth services and serves on the Sanctuary Worship Team on Sunday mornings. Today, Jonathan’s primary goal is to serve as a loving Husband to Leslie and a caring father to JonDavid, Nathan, and Alexa
